Physical Wellbeing: Push Yourself but don't Exert Yourself

After working out, the body produces serotonin and endorphins. Endorphins are the body's natural painkillers, which also set off positive feelings throughout the body. That is why after working out, there is a high. Workouts do not have to be for hours on end; they can be 30 minutes some days and more than an hour on others. It's all personal, do what you can, and don't exert your body. Don't exert yourself doesn't mean don't push yourself; push yourself to do one more rep in a set, make yourself run one more quarter-mile. By driving yourself, you get stronger, and the feeling you get after achieving your workout is fantastic. Being strong is empowering, knowing that you can handle yourself.

Since the start of this blog I go to the gym 5-6 days a week and even in this short amount of time I have felt a change in my mood and physical strength . What has been hard for me is not being nervous to workout around other people, who seem to know more about what they are doing. An important thing I have learned is that everyone is focusing on there own workout, no one is judging you.
